Are you looking for something free to do with your family and friends on a Friday night? Well then look no further. The Town of Benson Parks and Recreation hosts a Movie Night on the first and third Friday of every month during the summer.
Location & Time
Movies beginning in May will be held outdoors at the Downtown Singing Grove, weather permitting, and will begin at sunset.
Benson, North Carolina celebrates Benson Mule Days® the fourth Saturday of September each year.
The kickoff concert is held that Thursday night in the historic Benson Singing Grove.
For 2019, Mule Days will celebrate its 70th year and will kick-off on Thursday, September 26, 2019!
This festival, which draws 60-70,000 people, is filled with family fun and activities for everyone young and old. The weekend is packed with:

Trunk or Treat in Downtown Benson
A Town favorite, the annual trunk or treat takes place on Halloween, October 31, in downtown Benson.

Run for the Brave 5K and Veteran's Day Celebration
The Veteran's Day Celebration and Run for the Brave 5k are hosted annually in downtown Benson and they offer Benson's residents and visitors a festive environment to celebrate the sacrifice of our nation's veterans.
If you join us on the first Saturday in November, you can expect:
the Run for the Brave 5K, hosted by Parks and Recreation and Run the East
the annual Veteran's Day Parade down Main Street
a celebration honoring our local veterans
Local vendors and food!
