BENSON POLICE SEARCHING FOR TEENAGER REPORTED MISSING BY FAMILY

UPDATE - 1-23-19 - 7pm

Mekaylah Stewart has been located and has returned home.

Benson Police are currently searching for Mekaylah Stewart, 18, of the 500 block of North Ryals Street. She is approximately 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a red t-shirt.

According to her family, Mekaylah left home around 4:30 pm on Saturday (1-19-19) saying only “I’ll be back.” Her aunt contacted Benson Police on Tuesday (1-22-19) to report that she had not returned home.

Mekaylah is believed to be in the Benson or Selma area. Benson Police have followed up with her family and continue to work with the Selma Police Department. According to reports, she has left home before in a similar manner — she is not believed to be in danger at this time.

Mekaylah Stewart has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
