Press Release 1-23-19: Benson Police Searching for Two Men Involved in Robbery

BENSON POLICE SEARCHING FOR TWO MEN INVOLVED IN ROBBERY

On Tuesday night (1-22-19), at approximately 11 pm, two men entered Domino’s Pizza located at 107 North Honeycutt Street in Benson.

One man held an employee at gunpoint and forced him to open the cash register to remove an undisclosed amount of money. The second man collected the money in a yellow plastic bag.

Both suspects left the business on foot and were last seen heading north on North Honeycutt Street. No employees were injured during the incident.

The suspects were described as follows:

Suspect 1 — black male wearing a white hooded jacket with the hood portion pulled tight around the face. He was armed with a black handgun and was wearing gloves.

Suspect 2 — black male wearing a dark in color hooded jacket with the hood portion pulled tight around the face. He collected the money in the yellow plastic bag. He was also wearing gloves.

Approximately one hour prior, the Domino’s Pizza in Dunn, located at 709 South Clinton Avenue, was robbed by suspects of the same description.

Benson Police have contacted Dunn Police and a joint investigation is currently underway.
