Public Works to Spray for Mosquitoes

Public Works will treat two quadrants of town weekly, on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:30.  Schedule may be adjusted for weather conditions, but East and West sides of town will be treated twice per month.  Public Works will operate the fogger unit, as well as treat standing water with larvicide packets.  The fogging operation effectively controls mosquitoes that come in contact with the product, while larvicide packets will reduce brood populations in stagnant water.  Public Works has been making larvicide applications this month, and will begin fog operations on June 15th.  Public Works anticipates the spraying program will be maintained until mid to late September
